Frequently Asked Questions

Every question London SMBs
ask before signing up

No fluff. Straight answers about IT support, pricing, security, and how we work.

Getting Started

48 hours. We onboard new clients fast — a quick discovery call, access review, and remote setup is all it takes. For office-based setups we can usually be on-site within the same week. You're protected from day one.

Yes, and we do it all the time. Our migration process is designed to be invisible to your team — no downtime, no drama. We document your existing setup, run both services in parallel during handover, then cut over cleanly. We'll handle the awkward conversation with your old provider if you need us to.

Yes. We cover all London boroughs and can be on-site for hardware issues, office moves, and anything that can't be fixed remotely. Most issues are resolved remotely within 1–2 hours, so on-site visits are reserved for when they're actually needed.

Both. Most of our clients run a mix — Windows desktops plus MacBooks for the team. We support iOS and Android mobile devices too. Our tools are cross-platform so your whole fleet is covered under one agreement.

Support & Response Times

Depends on your plan. Response time SLAs by tier:

  • Essential: Next business day response
  • Professional: 4-hour response, 9am–6pm Mon–Fri
  • Enterprise: 1-hour response, 24/7 including bank holidays

All plans include a 24/7 emergency line for critical outages — server down, ransomware, network failure. We're never fully off.

Three ways: email us, call our support line, or use the client portal to raise a ticket directly. The portal gives you full visibility on open, in-progress, and resolved tickets — no chasing needed.

Plans are priced by user count, and each user gets all their devices covered — laptop, desktop, phone, tablet. No per-device add-ons. You tell us how many people, we cover everyone. Adding a new team member? Just let us know and we'll onboard them same day.

Pricing & Contracts

No hidden costs. Your monthly fee covers unlimited support requests (within your plan's SLA), proactive monitoring, patch management, security scans, and all remote labour. The only extras are hardware (at cost), third-party software licences, and on-site visits beyond your included hours — all quoted transparently before any work starts.

Most IT companies charge hourly (£95–£150/hr) with no fixed costs, which makes budgeting impossible. Our flat monthly fee means you always know what you're paying. You also get enterprise-grade certifications (Genetec, Bosch, Axis, Milestone) that most SMB IT firms simply don't have — at SMB prices.

Rolling monthly contracts on all plans — no 12-month lock-in. We earn your business every month. If you want to leave, 30 days' notice and we'll help you transition cleanly (documentation handover, access transfer, the lot). We'd rather you tell us if something isn't working than quietly churn.

We offer a free IT security audit for any London business. Takes about 30 minutes and gives you a full picture of your current risk posture — no obligation to sign up. Most clients find at least 2–3 gaps they didn't know about. Book yours here.

Security & Compliance

Three things set us apart: transparent flat-rate pricing (no surprise invoices), enterprise security certifications (Genetec, Bosch, Axis, Milestone — rare at the SMB level), and AI-powered monitoring that catches issues before you notice them. We're not a break-fix shop — we're a proactive partner that keeps your business running.

Yes. We'll work through your insurer's IT questionnaire with you and implement the controls they require — MFA, endpoint protection, backup verification, patch cadence documentation. Many clients see their premiums drop after our first quarter together.

From the IT side, yes. We'll ensure data is encrypted at rest and in transit, access controls are properly configured, audit logs are enabled, and devices are compliant with your data retention policies. For legal GDPR advice you'd need a solicitor, but we cover all the technical controls required under GDPR Article 32.

Our monitoring detects ransomware behaviour early — unusual file encryption activity triggers an alert within minutes. If it hits, we isolate affected machines, assess the blast radius, and restore from your clean backups. Enterprise plan clients get a 1-hour response guarantee and a written incident report for their insurer. We've handled ransomware incidents before; we know what to do.

Web Design & Digital

Both. Web design is one of our core services — we build fast, secure websites optimised for London search (local SEO). We also handle hosting, SSL certificates, domain management, and ongoing maintenance. Having one partner for IT and web means no finger-pointing when something breaks.

A standard 5–8 page business website takes 2–3 weeks from brief to launch. E-commerce or custom-build projects run 4–8 weeks. We work to a fixed timeline with clear milestones — no projects that drag on for months. You'll see a live preview before anything goes public.

We build every site with technical SEO baked in — proper heading structure, meta tags, schema markup, Core Web Vitals optimisation, and Google Search Console setup. For competitive keywords you'll likely want ongoing SEO content work, which we can scope separately. We'll always tell you what's realistic rather than promise page one overnight.
